A graduate of Handy H.S., Central Michigan University, and Marygrove College, he is overeducated and underdegreed. A Bay City schools teacher for 21 years, he is a former newspaperman who has collected over 5,000 albums. He believes, “More is better but vinyl is best.”

In addition, she has stepped up to the plate of community involvement on the Youth Advisory Committee in Bay County and participates in drama, the Green Club, and soccer.
