Shiloh Slaughter, who currently writes under Shiloh Sanchez and Tornline, was raised on Saginaw's South Side; influenced by nursery rhymes, hip hop, and classic rock, she currently wants to raise up underground hip hop and find a publisher for her fiction. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing, but what is more important (not to undermine education) is that Tornline has made a name through publicly displaying her poetry through handmade chapbooks and other creative outlets. She encourages others to expand their rights to speech and print as well.
